Studying abroad is exciting and surely beneficial for most people, but it can also be quite challenging. Here are some points to keep in mind before studying in foreign countries.

First, through studying overseas, you can learn to be independent of your family. When you share a house with others, for example, you also have to share rents, utility bills, and house chores. This will help you gain a sense of responsibility and establish friendly relationships with people from other countries.

Second, studying abroad can help you expand your horizons. Communicating with different people with different perspectives lead you to better understand the world around you and see things without bias and prejudice. Also the experience gained by studying overseas is valuable to improve your job prospects.

On the negative side, there is always a language barrier to overcome when you start living in another country. Despite the basic knowledge of the local language, many people find it hard to communicate with the local people. This can be more stressful if they don't have many friends to help them. In the end, they often get home sick soon after they start their new lives abroad.

In conclusion, it is surely great to live in another country, but you must remember there may be rough patches to go through after moving overseas. If you are ready to face them, though, studying abroad will be a great experience that you'll never forget.
