[ essay 1 ]

Since the outbreak of the massive earthquake in Japan, there has been heated debate over whether the use of nuclear power can be justified. Despite all the criticism, I believe that nuclear power is a vital source of energy that helps us support today's lifestyle and sustain development for our future generations

First, nuclear power is currently the best alternative to diminishing natural resources. In today's advanced society, there is an increasing demand for electricity. Considering the fact that fossil fuels, such as coal, oil, and natural gas, are running out, nuclear power is the only way we can prevent an energy crisis.

Second, nuclear power is clean and reliable energy to prevent environmental problems. It is well known that carbon dioxide, released by burning conventional energy resources, causes global warming. Although some suggest that other renewable energy, like solar power, can help reduce the amount of carbon dioxide, these sources are still not efficient enough to deal with the whole problem. On the other hand, nuclear energy doesn't produce CO2 or cause air pollution, which can be the most environmentally friendly to the earth.

In conclusion, it may be true that there is a safety concern associated with the use of new clear power, but with the depleting natural resources followed by the rising price of oil, expanding the reliance on nuclear energy is the most viable solution to the problems we face today.

[ essay 2 ]

In today's world, there are an increasing number of countries that rely on nuclear energy. Some people say that it is the best alternative to natural resources, but I believe the use of nuclear power is too dangerous to justify.

First, there has been a growing concern about safety of nuclear plants. As the recent massive earthquake in Japan has proven, no safety measures are invincible at the mercy of nature, and a nuclear accident can lead to a devastating effect both on humans and the environment.

Second, the use of nuclear power produces a large amount of nuclear waste that lasts thousands of years. A leak of radiation can destroy all the crops and produce in the affected area, and the negative reputation lingers for a long time, devastating the local economy.

Instead of relying on nuclear energy, we should look for other renewable energy sources. Solar power, for example, is increasingly popular, and with a little more development in technology to harness the sun, solar panels would be a feasible option to replace the declining fossil fuels.

In summary, with the increasing demand for electricity today, some may think relying on nuclear power is the only way to sustain our life and economy, but considering the potential risk, the use of nuclear power should not be expanded.

[ essay 3 ]

There is ongoing debate on whether or not nuclear power should be utilized as an alternative to other natural resources. Some argue that it can be dangerous and lead to environmental destruction, while others believe it is the only way to meet the increasing demand for electricity, which makes this issue too complicated to come to any quick conclusion at the moment.

On a positive side, nuclear power can be a reliable alternative to natural resources. It is generally said that fossil fuels, such as oil, coal and natural gas will be running out in the foreseeable future. Given the limited choices available today, nuclear power is currently the only opption to replace the diminishing natural resources.

Moreover, nuclear power is clean and environmentally friendly. Unlike conventional energy resources, it doesn't produce carbon dioxide. By relying more on nuclear power, we can reduce air pollution and carbon dioxide, which largely contributes to global warming.

Nuclear power, however, has its drawbacks. With an increasing number of nuclear plants near our residential areas, we have to worry about the possibility of a nuclear accident. Once a nuclear accident occurs, it can cause a serious disaster. Any accidents or incidents, such as natural disasters or terrorist attacks are almost inevitable. Therefore, some people think it is too dangerous to use nuclear power, because no one can guarantee it will be 100% safe.

In conclusion, it is too early to decide on whether the use of nuclear power should be expanded. Only after long term careful deliberation, could we make a sensible decision in the future.
