[ essay 1 ]

With the development of information technology, there is a wide range of information available through the media today. But it doesn't always mean we are well-informed.

First, we often use the internet these days to keep informed of current events, but some information obtained online is not reliable. Since everyone can place any sources of information easily, and often irresponsibly, on the net, things you read are not always accurate, sometimes totally wrong. It is difficult to tell which information is worth the trust, and which is not.

Second, we can be more well-informed by listening to and discussing issues with others. While traditional media like TV or radio provide us with only one-way information, we can exchange our opinions and share different points of view with others. The knowledge or experience gained through dialog and discussion should be more valuable and instructive in keeping well-informed.

In conclusion, keeping up with things doesn't seem difficult in today's information society, but keeping well-informed is a different story. Instead of relying too much on the media, we need more efforts to interact with other people. In fact, we can learn a lot of important things from people around us, which helps inform us in a better way.

[ essay 2 ]

Thanks to all the technology we enjoy today, we can get a wide variety of information easily and instantly. However, it does not necessarily mean we are well-informed.

Among all the media today, the Internet is probably the most useful way to gain information we need, but we must be aware that it is not always reliable. Since everybody can upload anything they want to say, the information given on the internet might be misleading or sometimes totally wrong. Therefore, it is fairly difficult for us to tell which information is worth the trust online.

Second, traditional media, such as TV or newspapers, are also useful, but they can be so biased and influential that the viewers or readers are often misled with wrong ideas. There are quite a few cases where people come to believe in a certain political party because of the strategic way of promotional campaigns waged by the traditional mass media.

Aside from the media, we shouldn't forget that people around us can be an important, often better, source of knowledge and information. The people in our daily life like parents and teachers know a lot about us, so they can give better advice or information depending on our needs. Also, we can get well-informed by talking and discussing things with others. Instead of just receiving information through the media, we should positively engage in debates or discussions, which helps learn to see things in different perspectives.

In conclusion, keeping informed of things is relatively easy today, but it is another matter to be well-informed. In fact, It is balance in the information we get through the media and the people around us that truly matters. In order to be well informed, we should try to be exposed to different viewpoints and avoid being influenced by biased information.

[ essay 3 ]

With all the sources of information available these days, it's fairly easy to keep up with what's going on, but it's another matter to be well-informed. I'd like to explain what you must do to be considered well-informed.

Many people rely on traditional media sources, such as newspapers, TV, and radio, to keep up with current events. Others turn to the Internet to get information on just about any topic they'd like. Both sources are useful and provide you with plenty of information. But even if you check your favorite newspaper or website everyday, I don't think this necessarily means you are well-informed.

You also need to seek balance in the information you take in. You should get a broad view of things by checking multiple sources, including opposing viewpoints. And don't forget about people. We learn many important things by talking and discussing things with others in our daily lives, including our parents and teachers, and these are things not easily learned in the media.

In conclusion, keeping up with things is rather easy these days, but becoming truly well-informed requires more effort. To do that, you must also expose yourself to a diversity of voices and understand all sides of the issues.
