Should school teachers share the responsibility of parenting?

The way of our life has dramatically changed in recent years. Today, extended families are a thing of the past, and more and more people live in a nuclear family. With this trend, it is necessary for schools and teachers to share the responsibility of parenting.
First of all, society has greatly changed, and the roles in a family have also dramatically changed. Today, it is common that both parents are busy working outside and don't have enough time to take care of their children. In the past, parents were the best teachers to teach children morals or values. Even if they were busy, older brothers or sisters could teach and discipline younger ones. Also, neighbors living near their places would tell them off when they were doing something bad. However, today, most families have an only child, and young children are more isolated, playing video games in their own room and less socializing with others. As a result, they don't have many opportunities to learn from their parents or others. Therefore, schools and teachers need to share the responsibility of parenting more than in the past.
Secondly, the number of women who have their own careers has increased, and less and less mothers have enough time to take care of their children. In many cases, they have to leave their children in a nursery school while they are working and pick them up in the late evening. Therefore, children don't share time with their mothers, so teachers have more responsibility to take care of the children and sometimes to discipline them.
In addition, the divorce rate has been increasing recently and it can make schools and teacher share responsibility of parenting more. It is very difficult for a single mother or father to take care of their children all the time, so those single parents have to rely on schools or teachers to bring them up.
For these reasons, it is important for schools and teachers to share the responsibility of parenting. Considering today's situations, needs of their participation of parenting will grew bigger and bigger.
