Describe a person who has done a lot of work to help people.

You should say:

2. where this person lives / lived
3. what he / she has done to help people
4. explain how you know about this person.

The person I believe has done a lot of work to help people is Charles Chaplin, a British actor who played in many films, and also directed many movies.

He was a world-famous comedian and gave people a lot of laughter. Also, he criticized some social issues the world faces in his films. My favorite film of his is "The Great Dictator" in which he plays a role of Adolf Hitler in a comical way, but also he sends the world a message that the dictatorship caused a lot of death and suffering to people.

Honestly, I don't know exactly where he lived through his life, but as far as I know, he had lived in several different countries, including the United States.

As a comedian, he made people happy in his films. During and after World War II, the people must have gone through difficult times. I'm sure that a lot of people felt they were helped by watching his films.

I got to know about him, when I was a student at junior high school. He was in a textbook for English class. It was about his life and the film "The Great Dictator." I was so impressed by his dedication to his work. I would even memorize the speech he made in the film. He is one of the biggest reasons why I got to like studying English so much.
