I think that China should be considered a global superpower by now. I have two reasons why I believe so.

 

First, China has achieved great economic development, and exports many commodities all over the world. For example, Japan imports fish and agricultural produce from China, and finished products such toys and furntirue are manufactured and imported to Japan. Because of economic development in China, the United States is trying to place heavy tariffs on imported items from China, which indicates that China has become a global superpower in terms of economy.

 

Second, China has become politically and diplomatically influential on the global stage and plays an important role in making decisions for the International affairs. For example, Chine is one of the permanent members of the United Nations and can even put a veto on any international decision if they like. Also, the Group of the seven countries or G7 summit or meeting is not considered as important as G 20 summit, becuase it doesn't include China.

 

For these reasons, China should now be regard as a global superpower in the world. It has the largest population in the world, and the size of the country is one of the biggest around the world as well. Therefore, Chine can even catch up with and overtake the United States in the future.
