[179]   [2014-1 A] Is warfare between nations an inevitable consequence of human nature?
I believe warfare between nations is an invetitable consequence of human nature, and I have two reasons.

First, throughout human history, people have been fighting with each other, and even in today's modern world, some countries in the world still keep fighting with one another. This means violence is part of human nature and we cannot overcome this violent behavior even with proper education. During World War I and Word War II, millions of people were killed, and millions of buildings were distroyed. We know all about it, but we didn't learn a lesson from the past experience.

Second, there are too many different cultures and religions around the world. Some people have strong opinions about something, which cannot be accepted by others with different cultures and religions. Religious comflicts have been common occurances today. Terrorist attacks are also triggered by religious tension.

Finally, anger, hate, and revenge is also part of our human nature and these feelings are often shared with people in the same country. Once one nation is attacked, the people in that country unite and try to take revenge against the other. This can cause another hatred and violence, which is repeated endlessly.

For these reasons, I believe warfare between nations is inevitable consequence of human nature. In fact, people are generally greedy in one sense and often try to invade other areas to expand their terriroties or to exploit resources. This brings about hatred from those attacked, who try to take revenge again the other. This vicious circle never seems to end anytime soon.
