One day, a man was at home with his family. The man was sitting at the table across from his wife and son. He told them that he would be transferred for a year, and asked them if they would like to come with him. His son said that he wouldn't like to change schools. The man understood the situation and decided to go alone.

 

One month later, the man was at the airport. His wife and son were also there to see him off. They looked sad when he said good-bye before going through the security.

 

Ten months later, the man was calling his wife at home. He was telling her that he would be moving back soon. He looked excited and his wife sounded happy over the phone.

 

The next day, however, the man was called over to the office of the branch manager. She told him that she would like him to work as assistant manager for her. He was glad to know he would be promoted, but he was also disappointed because he might have to stay there for a longer time.

Ten months later, the man was talking on the phone with his wife. He said "It's been almost a year and I'll moving back soon." His wife was happy to hear about it.

 

The next day, though, the man was called into the branch Manager's office. She suggested that she could promote him to the assistant manager at the branch office. He didn't know what to say about it.
