One day, a woman visited her mother, who was in the hospital after a fall. The mother was sound asleep in bed, while the doctor was telling the woman that her mother wouldn't be able to take care of herself anymore. Listening to his explanation, she looked concerned.

 

That evening at home, the woman was with her husband talking about her mother. He suggested that the mother live with them. She thought it might be the best, and nodded.

 

A week later, the mother came to live with the couple after she left the hospital. The woman was helping her mother get out of her wheelchair and onto the bed. The woman thought it was tough, but her mother appreciated her help.

 

Six months later, when her husband came back home from work, he found his wife lying down on the sofa. There was a lot of laundry in a basket that still needed to be done, and some dirty clothes were scattered on the floor. She was exhausted and told him that she couldn't cope with all the work she needed to do.

Six months later, when the man arrived home from work, he saw the woman sitting on the sofa. She looked very tired. There were some clothes in the basket and on the floor that still needed to be washed. She said to him that she could no longer deal with looking after her mother.
