One day, a company president was at her office. All the employees were busy working at the office: one was talking on the phone, some were working on their PCs, and others were busy carrying some documents around. Then the president noticed one of them saying that they had been working too hard recently, and she looked concerned.

A week later, the president put up a poster on the wall saying that the company was going on a hiking trip. Two of the employees saw the poster and looked interested in going there.

On the trip, the president and some of her employees are sitting and having a picnic lunch together. One of the employees told the president that they should do something like that again. The president was happy to know they were having fun out there and promised that they would go on another trip again.

A month later, the president was sitting on the sofa at home, reading an newspaper. She found an article saying that crowds of hikers were damaging mountains. Reading the article, she wondered if it was a good idea to take her employees hiking so often.

A week later, the president announced that they were going on a hike. She put up a poster to inform her employees of the occasion, and some employees noticed it and looked interested.

On the trip, they went to the mountains. When they reached the mountain top, they started having lunch together. They were having fun talking with the president, when one of the employees remarked that the company should have another outing in the future. The president was pleased that they were enjoying the trip and nodded.

A month later, however, the president was reading the paper at home. She noticed an article saying the mountains were being damaged because too many hikers visited them.

No.1 Please look at the fourth picture. If you were the company president, what would you be thinking?

I'd be thinking that it's unfortunate that we may have contributed to the damage, but I had to do something to relieve my employees' stress. Next time I will probably organize an indoor activity for fun, so that we can cause any damage to the environment.

No.2 Do you think that people should socialize with their co-workers after work?

Not really. Most people today spend long hours working at thier offices, so they just want to spend time with their families after work. Most co-workers find time to chat during the day at work anyway.

No.3 Is there too much pressure on people to be healthy these days?

Yes. many people today have to work until late at night and often need to go to work on weekends, so they don't have much time to sleep. Also, students are so busy studying for exams that they often skip meals or eat fast food. Therefore it is difficult for them to stay healthy.

No.4 Should local governments limit the amount of garbage that people can throw out?

Yes. Most cities are running out of places to put garbage. People who produce too much garbage should be taxed. Otherwise, local governments will be left with an unmanageable amount of waste in the future.
